Chris trained at Guildford School of Acting and graduated with a first-class BA (Hons).

He began work as an actor and performed in numerous productions including The Beautiful Game, Jerry Springer the Opera as Chucky, Alice in Wonderland at The RSC and Les Misérables, in which he was an alternate to the lead role of Jean Valjean.

He began his directing career as Resident Director on the West End production of Avenue Q and has since worked extensively as an Associate Director both in the UK and Worldwide on productions such as Les Misérables, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella, School of Rock the Musical and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as another Cameron Mackintosh blockbuster, Miss Saigon.

Chris has been Associate Director for productions of Les Misérables in America, Spain, Korea, Japan, Australia and Mexico and Holland. 

As a director, Chris devised and directed a new musical Chasing Fate at The Birmingham Hippodrome and last year created a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Unmasked for The Shiki Theatre Company in Japan.

Chris is currently Associate Director for Michael Harrison and Leicester  Curve’s Production of The Wizard of Oz at The London Palladium. 

He will soon be flying out to Seoul to direct the Korean language production of Les Misérables.
